new ami crochet pattern - Paboo Red Panda

I finally had the time to concentrate on working on a new amigurumi crochet pattern, this time it is Pabu the fire ferret on Legend of Kora. The main technique being used in this pattern is changing of yarns, changing yarn color is basically done on the last stitch of previous color, fairly simple to follow, and use loose yarn end to stitch over any unwanted yarn color, and making sure the ends are tied afterwards.

amigurumi tips # 2 - stuffing nose or any small pieces

to stuff smaller pieces of amigurumis such as nose or tail, first stuff lightly, pin piece in place, needle yarn 2/3 of way (leave a bit of opening), use the back of a crochet hook to push stuffing into the cavity, shape firmly, and finish sewing.....

amigurumi tips # 1 - markings

To keep track of your row counts, and to keep rounds uniformed, use a piece of scrap yarn as a marker. Place yarn marker at beginning of a round, move yarn marker tail over the next beginning stitch as you finished a row. After completion of your item, simply pull yarn marker out of stitches.
